Sitting In Half Way Tree

Sitting In Half Way Tree

I sat in Half Way Tree
And ogled the people who passed
Some from work, some from class
All with a burden taken to task

Two men walked to a car,
each step cockier than the next
Loading the car was impossible by far
Papine? Campus? Yeah!? Then we can par

I sat in Half Way Tree
Thoughts heavy on my mind
Thoughts of almost committing a crime
Until I saw a sight that was almost divine.

Young love, as she reached and tied his tie
A hint of pride and love shining in her eyes
He climbed on the bus and waved goodbye
She stood and waved, posing... A wonder if she get tie?

I sat in Half Way Tree, the sun's rays bright
At every corner, vendors for every sight
Thoughts heavy as they plied their plight
I considered moving at one point...

A lady with big boobs and curves for days
The men whistled and called her to come their ways
Until she spat that they were dunce as bats
Then they gave her sticks instead of carrots...

I sat in Half Way Tree,
Watching the evening rays dim
I have been sitting in Half Way Tree
It's a different life with the nights chill
I am still sitting in Half Way Tree...
