Monday Morning Coffee Break: Weiner, The War on our Youths and App of the day
Of Wieners and Whiners
We are in the final weeks of US. Elections before the big day on November 8 and early voting statistics show that Hillary Clinton is leading the polls in almost every state...or at least that’s the polls showed before her email scandal came back to haunt her in the form of Director of the FBI, James Comey has reopened the investigation into her storing classified emails on a private server. The investigation comes at a turning point in the election when the Trump camp could use any leverage against Clinton as they continue to weather the fallout from the Republican candidate’s racist, xenophobic, anti-semitic, homophobic and misogynist remarks have made him the most disliked presidential candidate ever. Many have began to question the timing of the reopening of the investigation as he disclosed that the investigation would be reopened mere days before the public go to cast their votes and the Clinton camp have come out swinging with Comey being with ethics charge for attempting to influence an election. The reopening of the election came about as a result of an investigation into Anthony Weiner, he of the I must show my weiner to everyone, sexting investigation after photos of him surfaced yet again showing his penis which he nicknamed Carlos Danger to an alleged underaged teenage girl. Weiner’s wife, Huma Abedin has worked with Clinton since she was 19 and is rarely seen without Clinton on the campaign trail and has become somewhat of a celebrity in her own right.
As expected lead village idiot and everyone’s senile grand-uncle Donald Trump seized on this revelation in order to cast doubt on Clinton’s trustworthiness and began a blitz highlighting this in Colorado.
Aside: 2016 needs to be dropped from our history books, just dropped like a bad ackee. In History classes of the future, teachers should skip this year like the mess it is.
Teacher: “Ok we finished the year of 2015, let’s move on to 2017”
Student: “But Miss, what about 2016?”
Teacher “WE DON’T TALK ABOUT 2016.”
Also Carlos Danger? LOOOOOOOOOOL Anthony Weiner, what the hell man? You are one unlucky Hombre. #BadHombre4Eva
The war on Youths: Jamaica College
The X6 trial had just finished. The country was just coming to terms with the failings of the Justice system and the collective anger was thick enough to cut with a knife. Little did we know that tragedy would strike again and so soon afterwards when 14 year old Nicholas Francis was stabbed to death while on a bus. And for what? A simple cellphone, a bangaz as we call it. The country now sits and watches in horror as they realise that not even the children are safe from the mindless violence that has ran so rampant throughout our society. And yet, this is the norm. In a bus full of people, nobody saw anything and few are willing to step forward to say what really happened for a 14 year old boy to be stabbed and thrown from a moving bus… There are so many rumours and speculations as to what happened on that fateful day that led to that series of events but like in 17 year old Khajeel’s Mais’ case, We will never know the truth. A march is being planned for later today October 31 at 7 to 8 AM in a show of solidarity. Meanwhile the alleged murderer Quacie Hart has turned himself in to the police as he showed up in the presence of his lawyer. A reward of $250,000 then increased to 1 million dollars was being offered for information on the incident.
Aside: What can be said here that hasn’t been said? We march, protest and call for stricter punishments. We pray and then…...nothing. Business as usual. A post will be up later today on this with discussing this so I won’t say much here. Thank you Jamaica College for standing by your student and going so far as to offer a reward to help solve the case. Kingston College take notes, your silence for Khajeel Mais was noted.
